About the Auction

The Bucktown Holiday ArtShow was started by Brian Mattson eleven years ago in response to artists from the Bucktown Arts Fest looking for a venue to offer their work for sale at the holidays which had the quality and appeal of the artists participating in the Bucktown Arts Fest. Brian ran the Bucktown Arts Fest for over 10 years while simultaneously running the Bucktown Holiday ArtShow. A few years ago, Brian hung up his hat with the Bucktown Arts Fest and now focuses his attention on planning and promoting the Bucktown Holiday ArtShow. In addition to this annnual event, Brian is a registered patent and trademark attorney as well as president of his law firm founded almost 12 years ago---Patents+TMS, P.C. (Go to www.patent-tms.com or www.thatpatentlawfirm.com for more information.)

Amy Olchowski, Creative Designer. Amy created the promotional materials for this year's ArtShow and also designed and developed bucktownpromotions.com.

Susan Chamberlin, Food, Drink, and Auction Coordinator. You can find Susan in the food booth making sure people are buying coffee mugs and setting up the food available for purchase as well as making sure all is set up for the Silent Auction---obtaining the donations from artists, placing the items available for bid on the table with their auction sheets, and then coordinationg the contacting of all the winners so the items can be obtained by their new anxious owners as soon as possible.

Scot Fontaine, Artist Relations. Scot can be found year after year tirelessly roaming the rooms, chatting with the artists, and pulling out his wallet shopping for favorite items for himself---and his friends and family!

Michael Graupman, the Pizza Czar. Michael does our 'run for pizza' each day. In addition to going around and talking to all the artists to find out if they want any pizza for lunch either day, he places the order, brings the pizza back, gets the word out that the pizza has arrived---and makes sure that it all happens very smoothly with enough of each type of pizza to satisfy the hungry artists and customers.

Krissy Rogalski, Mz. All-Around. Keeping Jeanne in check is Krissy's biggest job! Krissy fills in all the voids---wherever she's needed, Krissy is there---watch for her in the food booth, helping Jeanne with the front desk, delivering pizza, collecting Silent Auction items.

Steve Rogalski, Mr. All-Around. Krissy's husband, Steve, is there keeping check on Krissy and Jeanne! Can't have a tougher job than that!

Jeanne Szerszen, Front Desk. Jeanne is a long standing tradition in and of herself at the Bucktown Holiday ArtShow---meeting and greeting and collectiong admission or free passes for admission! THAT is Jeanne's specialty! Watch for her smile and helpful suggestions for navigating the ArtShow as you enter the ArtShow!
